Maria is a director Chair of the Audit Committee for the UK Board and Chair of the Malawi Board. Maria is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. She holds a Master of Business Leadership degree from the University of South Africa as well as Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Malawi. She was previously the Managing Director of BOC Kenya Limited with responsibility for East African operations. Prior to this she was the Head of Finance for Linde Group’s African Operations outside of South Africa. Prior to this she was Managing Director of Afrox Zambia Limited and Afrox Malawi Limited. She has served on various boards in manufacturing and financial services companies including Old Mutual Malawi and Standard Bank Malawi. Maria also serves as a director on the Board of National Bank of Malawi.
